My Favorite Mother's Day Recipes

I treat Mother's Day as an occasion to make something special - like a weekend brunch, breakfast in bed, or a rich, decadent cake or dessert. My favorite recipes for Mother's Day are easy to make in advance or will really wow your mom.

For an easy breakfast in bed, you can't go wrong with my no-mixer, one-bowl Everyday Pancakes - my husband and daughter made these one year and delivered them to me upon waking with a smiley face drawn on them in whipped cream. For a make-ahead brunch, I recommend Overnight Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Glaze, which also have a freezer option. And Chocolate Truffle Cake looks decadent but is simple to make - and will definitely satisfy your chocaholic mom.
